Department: Marketing
Reports to: CMTO
Position Overview:
The Vendor Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing vendor-funded marketing programs that support both manufacturer partners and Alps Controls' growth objectives. This role is focused on execution, accountability, and results — not experimentation without structure.
This role sits at the intersection of vendor relationships, marketing execution, and performance measurement. It is a hands-on, non-supervisory position well suited for someone who enjoys managing multiple initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally, and translating strategy into execution.
You will work closely with Marketing, Vendor Development, Sales, and external manufacturer partners to ensure marketing investments are clearly defined, well executed, and measured for effectiveness.
Vendor Traction & Program Maturity
Alps Controls is not starting from scratch with vendor marketing. Many of our top manufacturer partners already participate in structured, vendor-funded marketing programs that drive visibility, engagement, and measurable results.
This role is designed to scale and systematize an existing motion — bringing greater consistency, clarity, and repeatability to programs that are already delivering value. The Vendor Marketing Specialist will help evolve these efforts into a more standardized, performance-driven offering that benefits both Alps Controls and our vendor partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Marketing Program Execution
- Design and sell annual and quarterly vendor marketing plans aligned with company sales campaigns and strategic priorities
- Plan and coordinate vendor-funded marketing initiatives across digital channels (website promotions, email campaigns, content, landing pages, social) in cooperation with marketing creative team
- Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, approvals, and launch coordination
- Ensure consistency of messaging and execution across vendor programs
Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a day-to-day marketing point of contact for assigned manufacturer partners and ensure regular communication cadence
- Collaborate with Vendor Development and Sales to align marketing activity with revenue goals
- Work closely with internal marketing, digital, and data teams to execute campaigns effectively
- Lead vendor planning calls, status updates, and performance discussions
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track campaign performance, engagement metrics, and vendor investment outcomes in cooperation with Alps Controls Business Analyst
- Assist with post-campaign reporting and performance summaries
- Use data to identify trends, opportunities for optimization, and areas for improvement
Budget & Co-Op Support
- Support tracking of vendor marketing spend, MDF/co-op funds, and program utilization
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation and reporting
- Ensure timely submission of invoices and proof of performance to vendor partners
- Partner with accounting team to ensure timely receipt of payments
Industry & Market Engagement
- Support or attend select vendor meetings, trainings, or industry events as needed
- Share insights and observations that inform future marketing programs and vendor strategy
What Success Looks Like in 6-12 Months
- Own the design and sell of annual and quarterly vendor marketing plans aligned with company sales campaigns and strategic priorities
- Achieve strong adoption of vendor marketing programs across key manufacturer partners
- Develop clearly defined, repeatable marketing packages that vendors understand and value
- Ensure consistent, on-time execution of vendor-funded campaigns
- Clear tracking of performance, engagement, and ROI
- Vendors increasingly viewing Alps Controls as a strategic marketing partner, not just a distributor

This Role is Not
To set clear expectations, this role is
not:
- A brand-only or social-media-only marketing role
- A hands-on design or production role; creative execution is supported by a dedicated creative marketing resource
- A people-management role
- A sales role, though it does require comfort discussing and positioning marketing value with vendor partners
This role is responsible for
owning vendor marketing programs end-to-end — from planning and vendor coordination through execution oversight, performance tracking, and optimization — while partnering closely with internal creative resources to bring campaigns to life.
You Might Be a Fit If…

- You take ownership and follow things through from idea to execution
- You are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple initiatives at once
- You enjoy working with external partners and building long-term relationships
- You care about execution quality, clarity, and measurable outcomes
- You prefer roles where success is defined by results, not titles

- Occasional travel to vendor meetings or industry events
